OpenAI's new Advanced Voice Mode (AVM)
Hire Experts In Revenue-Driving Software

OpenAI's new Advanced Voice Mode (AVM) is shaking up the customer service industry. At $0.15 per minute, it’s already half the cost of hiring a U.S.-based call center agent.
While AVM still costs more than agents in countries like the Philippines and India, AI costs are dropping fast. GPT technology costs have fallen 92% in just a year and a half, and it’s predicted that within two years, AI will be cheaper than the lowest-paid overseas agents.
The End of Call Center Jobs?
If AI becomes cheaper, easier to manage, and can speak perfect English, why would companies keep hiring human agents? This shift could completely change customer service.
Will your company be the first to adopt AI?
AVM Features and Rollout
OpenAI has rolled out AVM to Plus and Teams users, with Enterprise and Edu customers next. It includes five new voices—Arbor, Maple, Sol, Spruce, and Vale—and improvements in accents and flow. Some regions, like the EU and the U.K., aren't included yet.
Multimodal features like video and screen sharing are also on the horizon, which could revolutionize customer interactions further.
What This Means for RevOps Leaders
AI presents a major opportunity to cut costs and streamline operations in customer support and sales.
However, it could also disrupt workforces, especially in economies reliant on call centers.
Are you ready to balance these benefits and challenges?
